Upon arrival at Helsinki-Vantaa Airport, our representative will welcome you and transport you to your hotel. Your evening begins with a trip to Senate Square, a showcase of living history, accompanied by the Government Palace and the University of Helsinki. After a lovely stroll through the old town area, enjoy dinner at an Indian restaurant before returning to your hotel.
After breakfast, arranged city tour to visit the sightseeing places in the city of Helsinki are taken. You will visit the famous cathedral; the building located in the Senate Square and then go to the Rock Church (Temppeliaukio Church) built in the solid rock. An audio tour will then be taken in National Urban Park to see the green scenery, then to Porvoo, one of the oldest towns in Finland where visitors will have two hours guided tour around the medieval town. Ensure that the last meal is a great dinner at a restaurant that has been identified to serve Indian food before heading to the hotel.
Northern Lights tour in Ivalo Start eating breakfast at the hotel, then check out and head to the Finnish Lapland. You will sleep in a clear dome, which is ideal for viewing the sky of the Artic here. Then there is an optional lunch then a quick show at the planetarium before going for the Northern Lights also known as the Aurora Borealis in the evening. Following dinner at the restaurant of the resort, your guide will then lead you to the best places to observe these amazing light displays.
After breakfast and check out, you will be driven to Rovaniemi – the official capital of Finnish Lapland. The current programme is the visit to the Ranua Wildlife Park where the viewer can see the Arctic animals in the conditions which are close to their natural habitat. Or, if you prefer, from January to March you may try Polar Icebreaker Cruise – the trip on the sea covered with ice (extra charge). The evening can be spent again with the Northern Lights with an optional guided tour.
It is a special and great place in the Arctic. In the afternoon transfer to a close husky farm where you get an understanding of the Lappish way of life and then get to go for the husky safari that takes place across snowy terrains. For dinner have a meal at an Indian restaurant and spend the night in Rovaniemi.
