Find out the best combination of nature beauty and desert adventure with our Wadi Bani Khalid – Wahaiba Sands Tour. This whole-day adventure takes visitors from the cool turquoise waters of one of Oman’s most famous wadis to the golden dunes of the magnificent Wahaiba (A’Sharqiyah) Sands.
Travel some 250 km (about 2 hours 45 minutes) from Muscat to Wadi Bani Khalid, famed for its perennial flowing water, crystal clear pools, dramatic boulders and the beautiful mountainous scenery of the Hajar range. Subsequent to this, move on to Bidiyah, the gateway to Wahaiba Sands, where the local Omani cuisine can be savoured and then head into the desert for a truly unforgettable dune experience.
Wahaiba Sands stretches about 180 kilometers from north to south with a total area of 12,500 sq kilometers that contains golden amber dunes as well as authentic Bedouin cultural experiences.
