Located about 120 km from Muscat, Nakhal is a historic and picturesque town surrounded by date plantations, mountains and hot springs.  

Begin your way with a visit to the lush environment of Ain Al Thuwarah Hot Springs, followed by a visit to the magnificent Nakhal Fort, which was built on a pre-Islamic basis and is perched high on a rocky outcrop. Continue onwards to Rustaq, a historic city located south of the Batinah coastline and famous for its impressive Rustaq Fort and the Falaj Al Muyassar irrigation system which is listed as a World Heritage Site by the United Nations.  

During the journey, you may also get to see breathtaking views of Wadi Bani Awf and Snake Canyon, which is famous for adventure hiking and scenic drives on the mountain.
