Visa Requirements: The traveler must have a multiple entry Schengen visa. The price of this visa is not included in the price of the package tour. It is advisable to consult one’s travel agent, as well as the nearest consulates, for guidance and information. Please make sure all travel documents are ready well in advance of travel. Ticketing Requirements: This tour requires confirmed air tickets from arrival in Helsinki and departure from Copenhagen.   • Any increase in exchange rates that result in higher arrangements of land effective prior to departure.
  • Tipping is expected for any service provider like coach driver, local guides, hotel and restaurant staff.
  • It is compulsory to pay a nominal sum of 3 euros per person and per day. For the 14 days of this tour the total amount of tips is EUR42 per person and needs to be given to the Tour Manager on Day 01 of the tour.

Trip Itinerary

Welcome to Helsinki!

Upon arrival, please go to your hotel and complete check in independently.

Note: Standard check in time is 1500 hrs. We may have to go straight to dinner or a packed dinner will be served in case of late arrivals or long immigration queues.

Day trip to Tallinn – Guided city tour of Tallinn

Today, we will drive to the pier to take a ferry to the Baltic sea to Tallinn, the capital of Estonia. Upon arrival, we will continue with a guided city tour of Tallinn visiting Toompea Hill, the Parliament building, Dome Church, St. Nicholas Church, and Town Hall Square. After that we will tour the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral. Later on, we will drive to the pier again for the return to Helsinki.

Visit Fazer experience – Guided city tour of Helsinki – Board
Cruise to Stockholm.

Today, we are going to visit Fazer Experience Centre where we will learn the art of making chocolate, including tasting. Then we will continue with a guided city tour of Helsinki, where we will see Senate Square, the Lutheran Tempelliauki Church, Sibelius Park, and much else. Afterwards, we will take a cruise over the Baltic Sea to Stockholm.

Guided city tour of Stockholm – Visit Stockholm City Hall –
Visit Viking Museum – Visit the Icebar

Today, we will be taking a guided city tour of Stockholm where we see the Opera House, Alfred Nobel’s House and the Royal Palace. We will also visit the seat of Stockholm Municipality, Stockholm City Hall. Next, we will visit the Viking Museum which displays the wooden, 9th century Viking ships and artifacts excavated from burial tombs. We will also visit the Icebar, where we will see the interior, bars and glasses made out of ice. In the evening we will get free time in Gamla Stan – the old town.

Onto Oslo – Photo stop at Lake Vanern

Today, we will drive to Oslo. En route, we will pass by the town of Karlstad where we will make a photo stop at Lake Vannern, the largest lake in Sweden.

Guided Tour of Oslo – Entrance to Vigeland Sculpture Park – Entrance to Holmenkollen Ski Jump area & Museum

Today, we will do a guided city tour in Oslo, where we see Parliament Square, the National Galleries, Karl Johan shopping street, the Royal Palace and Akershus Fortress. We will then visit Vigeland Sculpture Park before we do a tour of the Holmenkollen Ski Museum, the world’s oldest ski museum. After this, we will drive to Geilo.

Travel on one of Norway’s most popular trips ‘Norway in a
nutshell’

Today, we take our train from Geilo to Myrdal and then transfer to Flame to take the scenic train to Flame. We will walk through the idyllic countryside and then take a boat ride through the Aurlandsfjord to the Naeroyfjord, one of the narrowest fjords in Europe, surrounded by mountains rising up to 1800 meters. On arrival at the beautiful Gudvangen, we will get on the coach and travel through the amazing Norwegian landscape to the city of Bergen.

Note: Because of weather conditions, trains or cruise may be non- operational. In such cases, we will try and re-route the journey to ensure that we cover as many landscapes as possible.

Guided city tour of Bergen – Ride on the Funicular train –
Board Cruise to Hirtshals

Today we will go on a guided tour through Bergen city, the Hanseatic Wharf Bryggen with its pastel-coloured wooden houses, winding cobblestone streets and old city. We will then have a ride on the Funicular up to the top of Mount Flouyen for an aerial view of Bergen. Afterwards, we will enter the cruise for Hirtshals.

Orientation city tour of Aarhus – Photo stop at Infinite
Bridge – Visit H C Andersen Museum

Upon arrival at Hirtshals we will move on to the old town of Aarhus where we will take an orientation city tour and see Aarhus Cathedral and the old town. We will then make a picture stop at the scenic Infinite Bridge. Next, we will travel to the city of Odense where we will visit the H. C. Andersen Museum, which is dedicated to the famous author Hans Christian Andersen. We will then head out for Copenhagen.

Guided city tour of Copenhagen – Photo stop at Oresund
bridge – Visit Carlsberg Brewery

Today, we will go on a guided city tour in Copenhagen, where you will see Parliament building, Amalienborg Palace, Gefion Fountain, the Little Mermaid statue and of course many other sights. We will then make a photo stop at the Oresund Bridge, a combined railway and motorway cable stayed bridge over the Oresund strait between Denmark and Sweden. Finally, we will visit the Carlsberg Brewery to do a tasting.

Note: In major cities of Europe, there are some parking restrictions for coaches and it is not possible to stop at all the places during the city tour. Your Tour Manager will endeavour to stop the coach wherever possible for a photo stop.

IMPORTANT NOTES

HOTELS

  • All the hotels will either be located around the airport or on the periphery of the airport.
  • The majority of hotels in Europe will only provide twin beds; beds that are designated as double shall be queen size beds rather than king size.
  • It is also possible that a third person in a triple room will be provided with a rollaway bed by most hotels, and the dimensions of the room may be equivalent to a double room.
  • Most hotel rooms in Europe may not be equipped with air conditioning or cooling facilities and fans may not be supplied; this will be determined by the climatic conditions in the area.
  • Air cooling or air conditioning inside hotels is a function of an official declaration of summer by the local authority.
  • The average room size of hotels in Europe is between 16 and 20 square metres.
  • Most hotels in Europe do not offer tea kettles in the rooms.
  • Any damages inflicted on the hotel rooms by you during your stay shall be the responsibility of the passengers and payable accordingly.
  • We expressly reserve the right to replace a hotel of similar class in case it is considered advisable or necessary.

COACHES 

  • As the major means of transport in your European trip is by coach, you are asked to keep the coach clean.
  • For hygienic reasons the use of toilets on the coach is banned; however the tour manager will arrange comfort stops during long drives.
  • Consumption of food and drink is not allowed on the coach.
  • Due to the limited boot space on the coach, each passenger is only allowed to bring one check in bag and one handbag.
  • Coaches are not wheelchair accessible, there are steps to go onto or get off.

MEALS 

  • Meals are predetermined and there is no la carte service.
    On some days, a packed lunch will be offered.

SIGHTSEEING 

  • Itinerary Modification: – On selected departures, we may amend or reverse the itinerary; nevertheless, all services and inclusions shall remain unchanged.
  • Usually, you will be expected to walk to see some sights, amusement parks, and sometimes, even to the airports for a considerable distance; the tour manager will give you timely instructions. It is recommended to use comfortable sports shoes. The tour manager and driver will try to take you as close to the monuments as possible.
  • In case of missing a paid entrance because of sudden closing or unavailability, replacement of another visit of similar value and/or type will be provided or a refund will be issued.

GENERAL 

  • A local representative or driver may be there to only help you during the first phase of the tour.
  • Security alerts and random closures may change the itinerary.
  • Please use extra vigilance over your personal belongings on the tour as theft and bag snatching is prevalent in all the countries visited. SOTC shall not be liable for loss of any kind of belongings or baggage.
  • SOTC shall not accept any liability or responsibility for damages, losses baggage loss, theft, injury, accident, death, breakdown or irregularity which may arise during the execution of the tour arrangement, due to weather conditions, strikes, war, quarantine or any other cause whatsoever, all such loss or expenses shall be borne by the passengers. Insurance policies need to be carried during tour.
  • The management reserves the right to claim any additional expense incurred as a result of delays or changes in the schedule of trains, airplanes, buses, ships, or other services.
  • The tour manager and the company reserve the right to change the itinerary, to change, vary or withdraw any particular departure or advertised excursion. For the convenience of our passengers, we may modify the itinerary; however, all the services shall be the same.
  • No refunds are available for any services i.e. meals, sight seeing, etc. that are not used on your tour.
  • All the optional activities need to be booked and paid to the tour manager on Day 01 of the tour. Payments shall be made in cash in the currency provided in your tour price only – no credit or debit card is accepted.
  • Optional tours booked and paid under 100% non-refundable, non-cancellation policy.
  • In case you want to change the date of your return reservation after confirmation, you will be informed of the exact amount to be paid to the airline after the new arrangements are confirmed.
